About Saigon Tango Weekend

Saigon Tango Weekend (STW) takes place in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam, from August 28–30, 2026.

Our vision is simple and heartfelt: to create a BOUTIQUE TANGO Weekend where connection comes first — a cozy, friendly space for quality dancing, meaningful learning, and the true social spirit of tango.

STW is not about big crowds. We keep the number of dancers intentionally limited so embraces feel personal, faces become familiar, and the dance floor feels like home. For three days, let this be your escape — a place to disconnect from the outside world, rest your mind, refine your technique, sweat your T’s and enjoy soft embraces (and Vietnamese food, of course!).

STW follows the tradition of tango events organized by Ta.Tango since 2008, bringing together dancers, teachers, musicians, and tango lovers from Vietnam and around the world into the warm-hearted rhythm of Saigon — an iconic tropical city of Southeast Asia.

For us, tango is not just a dance. It is the people, the embraces, the late-night talks and drinks, and above all, the friendships and memories that stay long after the music ends.

Why Saigon?

Saigon is color, pulse, and warmth. It is a city where old boulevards meet café corners, street food meets fine dining, and every night hums with possibility.

Between workshops and milongas, you may wander tree-lined streets, sip strong Vietnamese coffee, or share a bowl of pho with new friends at 2 a.m. This generous, curious, and welcoming spirit is exactly what we wish to share through Saigon Tango Weekend.

For dancers, Saigon is comfortable, cost-friendly and convenient: easy airport access, abundant accommodation options, and a tango community that values floorcraft, respect, and inclusion. It is a city that is easy to arrive in — and hard to leave.

What Our Boutique Weekend Offers

  • 03 Progressive workshops and 01 Intensive Seminar (4 hours) with world-class teachers, designed to deepen technique, musicality, and connection
  • 03 Traditional milongas flowing late into the night
  • Inspiring performances by devoted tango artists
  • A genuinely cozy and friendly atmosphere where dancers of all levels feel at home
  • Shared meals whenever possible — because tango is also about sitting together, laughing together, and discovering Vietnam through pho, bánh mì, bún bò, and many more local delights

Tony Ta (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), Sunday 30 Aug

The pulse of our local community and the event’s visionary, Tony Ta rounds out our international trio. Tony’s musical signature is built on a profound respect for the “old school” milongueros, blended with a modern sensibility for the Saigon floor.
